Volleyball Recap: Derby Comes Up Short

Derby lost against Olathe East back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Hawks. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Olathe East scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19.

Derby's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Olathe East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-19.

Derby has already played their next contest, a 0-0 tie against Junction City/St. Xavier on the 11th. As for Olathe East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Manhattan on the 11th.
