Baseball Recap: Divine Child Comes Up Short

Divine Child and St. Mary's Prep squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Divine Child had to settle for second. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eaglets. The Falcons have struggled against the Eaglets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Divine Child's loss dropped their record down to 21-13. As for St. Mary's Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-13 record this season.

Divine Child does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mary's Prep, they will square off against Lake Shore on Saturday. The Shorians will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Eaglets surely won't give up without a fight.
