Soccer Recap: Plainfield East Takes a Loss

Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 4-1 to the Oswego East Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Plainfield East of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Leah Rudd, who's now up to three this season.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-2. As for Oswego East, the win got them back to even at 5-5-6.

Coming up, Plainfield East will take on Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Yorkville's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Oswego East, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Joliet West on the 7th.
