Preview: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Stansbury Stallions
After four games on the road, Jordan is heading back home. They will take on the Stansbury Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Jordan ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Hillcrest 55-52.
Jordan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Cheney, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cheney has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ayden Doyle, who scored ten points along with four blocks.
Meanwhile, Stansbury earned a 64-56 win over Park City on Wednesday. The win was just what Stansbury needed coming off of a 67-36 loss in their prior game.
Jordan's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Stansbury, their victory ended a 17-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-15.
Jordan beat Stansbury 70-63 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Jordan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stansbury turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
