Basketball Game Preview: Pawnee Heights Tigers vs. Satanta Indians

The Pawnee Heights Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Satanta Indians on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Pawnee Heights and 12 for Satanta dating back to last season.

Pawnee Heights came up short against Ashland on Tuesday, falling 57-34.

Despite the defeat, Pawnee Heights saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cody Holste almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for Holste.

Meanwhile, Satanta was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 56-51 to Minneola.

Pawnee Heights' loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Satanta, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Things could have been worse for Pawnee Heights, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-52 loss to Satanta in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Pawnee Heights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
