Baseball Recap: Liberty Lions vs. Pittsburg Pirates

After losing to Pittsburg the last time they met, Liberty decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lions came out on top against the Pirates on Thursday by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Chayce Formosa made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Coming up, Liberty will venture away from home to take on Freedom at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. Pittsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
