Basketball Recap: Sherwood Comes Up Short at Home Against Benson Tech

Sherwood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 62-46 to the Benson Tech Astros. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Sherwood lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tenley Bozeman, who posted 13 points along with five boards and four blocks. Zoe Sanders was another key player, putting up six points and five assists.

Benson Tech has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Sherwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-49 victory against Wilsonville on the 12th. Benson Tech has also already played their next matchup (against Beaverton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
