Soccer Recap: San Clemente Triumphs

San Clemente kept a clean sheet against Aliso Niguel on Friday. They came out on top against the Aliso Niguel Wolverines by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Tritons were the better team in the second half.

Max Jolley and Jonah Levandofsky scored both of San Clemente's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

San Clemente is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Aliso Niguel, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-2 and their overall record down to 3-3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Clemente will head out to take on Mission Viejo at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. San Clemente is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season. As for Aliso Niguel, they will square off against San Juan Hills at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. San Juan Hills' last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
