Volleyball Recap: Pace Academy Knights vs. Central Lions
With a playoff game on the line, Pace Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Central Lions as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on six straight.
While Pace Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Central scored at least 16 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16, 25-13.
Pace Academy can attribute much of their success to Gabby Emch, who had seven digs and five aces. That's the most aces Emch has posted since back in October of 2023.
Pace Academy couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 58.8% of their attack attempts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only posted a hitting percentage of 13.6%.
Pace Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 39-6 record this season. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 34-13.
Pace Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Westminster on the 19th. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
