The North Sanpete Hawks will square off against the Summit Academy Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Sanpete has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 8.
Last Friday, North Sanpete was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Carbon. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dinos 19-13 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, North Sanpete had strong showings from McKay Schlappi, who posted 16 points along with five assists and three steals, and Bryce Swapp, who went 5 of 9 en route to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Swapp a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Bowles, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Summit Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 71-61 win over Providence Hall on Friday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
North Sanpete better keep an eye on Nixon Savage. He was instrumental in Summit Academy's win, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 16 rebounds. Savage's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Meredith, who earned four points in addition to eight boards and six assists.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Summit Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Providence Hall only racked up seven assists.
North Sanpete's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Summit Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-20.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Sanpete has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 25.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Summit Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.8 boards.
