Bloom lost to Crete-Monee last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Blazing Trojan won by a set and slipped past the Warriors 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blazing Trojan have posted since October 28, 2024.

Emma Proskuniak and Isis Shores certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Proskuniak had eight digs and two aces, while Shores had ten digs and two assists.

Bloom's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Crete-Monee, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Looking ahead, Bloom will challenge Thornwood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crete-Monee, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Evergreen Park on the 4th.
