Baseball Recap: Belleville Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Belleville and Verona meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Buccaneers came up short against the Hillbillies, falling 8-2. The Buccaneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Hillbillies from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Belleville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Verona, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleville will host Cedar Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Verona, they will challenge Barringer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
