Johnstown Christian extends road losing streak to five

Recap: Johnstown Christian Bluejays vs. Blair County Christian Bobcats

This season hasn't been kind to the Johnstown Christian Bluejays, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were dealt a 57-14 loss at the hands of Blair County Christian on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Johnstown Christian has scored all season.

Blair County Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Marucci led the charge by scoring ten points along with seven steals. Marucci hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Micaiah Marucci was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Johnstown Christian bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.2 points per game. As for Blair County Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Johnstown Christian will be playing at home against Centre County Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centre County Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Blair County Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Huntingdon Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
