Basketball Game Preview: Juarez Eagles vs. Kennedy Crusaders

The Juarez Eagles and the Kennedy Crusaders will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Juarez: 27.2, Kennedy: 27) so any points scored will be well earned.

Juarez saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 51-43 to Morgan Park Academy. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Kennedy had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 55-23 stomp they got against the Bulls. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Juarez, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Juarez came up short against Kennedy in their previous matchup back in January, falling 42-31. Can Juarez avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
