Volleyball Recap: Canon-McMillan Comes Up Short

If Canon-McMillan was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bethel Park on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Big Macs lost 3-0 to the Pine-Richland Rams on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Big Macs have suffered since October 1, 2024.

While Canon-McMillan was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-22.

Natalie Carr paced Canon-McMillan's offense, picking up 11 kills. Carr got some help from Carsen Brown and her eight assists.

With the loss, Canon-McMillan broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-2. As for Pine-Richland, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Canon-McMillan will host Upper St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pine-Richland, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Joseph Academy at 12:00 p.m. on October 11.
