Soccer Recap: Huntington Beach Takes a Loss

Huntington Beach and West squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Huntington Beach had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the West Warriors who were credited with the win. The West Warriors got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Huntington Beach Oilers' three.

Huntington Beach's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for West, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Huntington Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West, they will challenge Coachella Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Coachella Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something West surely won't give up without a fight.
