Softball Recap: St. Dominic Crusaders vs. Eureka Wildcats        
        
		
             St. Dominic waltzed into their game  on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Eureka Wildcats with a sharp  10-2 win. Considering the Crusaders have won 14 matches by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Abigail Mandrell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Mandrell was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news, St. Dominic let  MacKenzie Roth and  Angela Williams loose on the outfield. Roth  scored a  run while going 1-for-3, while  Williams  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Allison Roth, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 St. Dominic is  on a roll lately: they've  won 15 of their last 17 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record  this season. As for Eureka, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Dominic will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against Fort Zumwalt South at 1:30  p.m. As for Eureka, they will take on Parkway Central at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Parkway Central is coming into the  contest with six straight  defeats at home,  meaning Eureka will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory.
