Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is San Luis Obispo's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only San Luis Obispo walked away with it. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Avenal Buccaneers on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

San Luis Obispo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Avenal, they moved to 18-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, San Luis Obispo will take on McLane at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Avenal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
