Baseball Game Preview: Bishop's Knights vs. Maranatha Christian Eagles

The Bishop's Knights will take on the Maranatha Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop's will be strutting in after a win while Maranatha Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Bishop's took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Classical Academy, sneaking past 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ian Shin looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Bishop's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 4-1 (and 8-10 when he doesn't).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Clyde Kates, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Maranatha Christian lost 11-3 to Santa Fe Christian. Maranatha Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop's now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Maranatha Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
