Volleyball Recap: Denbigh Baptist Christian Victorious

Denbigh Baptist Christian won the last time they faced Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech and things went their way on Saturday too. The Minutemen walked away with a 2-0 win over the Griffins. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Minutemen.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Denbigh Baptist Christian was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12.

Julia Kinney paced Denbigh Baptist Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kinney got some help from Julia Helmsderfer and her 14 assists. Kinney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Denbigh Baptist Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Denbigh Baptist Christian will face off against Norfolk Collegiate at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, they will square off against TEACH Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
