Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Avon Old Farms). Everything went their way against the Taft School Big Red on Friday as they made off with an 18-4 win. Considering the Beavers have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Avon Old Farms pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Taft School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Avon Old Farms will host Deerfield Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Big Green will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Taft School, they will head out on the road to challenge Kent School at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
