Softball Recap: St. Anthony Comes Up Short

St. Anthony had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it four. They came up short against the Saint Mary's Hall Barons, falling 12-0. The Yellowjackets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Barons from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Saint Mary's Hall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

For Saint Mary's Hall's part, the team relied heavily on Riley Wallace, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Wallace has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Wallace, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Coincidentally, St. Anthony and Saint Mary's Hall will both be playing San Antonio Christian the next time they take the field. The Barons will head out to face the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
