Softball Recap: St. Margaret's Scotties vs. Christchurch School Seahorses

St. Margaret was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 20-3 walloping at the hands of the Christchurch School Seahorses.

St. Margaret's saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taliaferro Pearson, who went 1-for-1 with three RBI.

On Christchurch School's side, Bridget Wiseman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Wiseman was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI.

In other batting news, Christchurch School got a massive performance out of Callie Penick, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Avery Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and a triple.

St. Margaret's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Christchurch School, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

St. Margaret's will head out on the road to square off against Saint Gertrude at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Christchurch School, they will be playing at home against Central Virginia HomeSchool Athletic Association at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Christchurch School will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
