Football Recap: Coventry Piles Up the Points Against Chippewa

Coventry got themselves on the board against Chippewa on Friday, but Chippewa never followed suit. They really took it to the Chipps for the full four quarters, racking up a 31-0 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Comets considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

Coventry's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Chippewa, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coventry and Chippewa will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Comets are set to challenge their familiar foe Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Chippewa will square off against rival Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
