Baseball Recap: Horizon Huskies vs. Canyon del Oro Dorados

Horizon was the 12-6 winner over Canyon del Oro when they last played one another back in March of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Horizon Huskies fell just short of the Canyon del Oro Dorados by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The loss was the Huskies' first of the season.

Horizon got a good showing from Tre Puckett, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Ethan Trahan was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Quinn Robbins, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Horizon fell to 2-1. As for Canyon del Oro, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
