Baseball Recap: Southern Wayne Find Success

Southern Wayne posted their closest win since April 30, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past the Fike Demons 11-10. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Demons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Tyler Odom was excellent, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Ben Hope also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Southern Wayne's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Fike, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Southern Wayne is set to face off against their familiar foe C.B. Aycock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fike will challenge rival Hunt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
