Recap: North Port Bobcats vs. Hardee Wildcats
After a string of five wins, The North Port Bobcats''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 20-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hardee. North Port lost against Hardee in their previous head to head back in November of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-26 score last time.
Kellon Lindsey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hardee, rushing for 226 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 51 yards and a touchdown.
North Port's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Hardee, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Port will challenge Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tarpon Springs presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Port in Florida (Tarpon Springs is ranked 139th, while North Port is ranked 340th). As for Hardee, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
