Volleyball Recap: Seguin Triumphs

Seguin won the last time they faced Canyon Lake and things went their way on Friday too. The Matadors walked away with a 2-0 victory over Canyon Lake.

Seguin's offense was headlined by Rebeka Wilke and Elli Anderson, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Gisele Morales and her 19 assists. Finally, Anderson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Seguin's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Canyon Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Seguin and Canyon Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Matadors (ranked 416th) will meet Lanier (ranked 842nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Canyon Lake will take on Akins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (318 vs. 847).
