Baseball Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They came up short against the Vancleave Bulldogs, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 on Tuesday.

Laurel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Vancleave, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

While Laurel had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
