Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kevin Ahearn and Kyle Sillars Lead Danvers to Victory

Danvers lost to Bishop Fenwick back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Danvers Falcons enjoyed a cozy 78-61 victory over the Bishop Fenwick Crusaders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Leading Danvers to victory were Kyle Sillars and Kevin Ahearn. Sillars almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists, while Ahearn went 7 for 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those nine assists gave Sillars a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Calabro, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points.

Danvers now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bishop Fenwick, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Danvers will venture away from home to square off against Winthrop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Fenwick, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Peabody Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th.
