Lena-Winslow had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the East Dubuque Warriors on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won nine in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lena-Winslow took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-14.

Mia Diffenderfer paced Lena-Winslow's offense, picking up six kills. Diffenderfer were helped by Emily Goebel and Kieryn Getz, who contributed seven assists each. Goebel also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brianna Fye, racking up two apiece.

Lena-Winslow will face off against Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Dubuque, they will take on Winnebago at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday.
