Soccer Recap: La Porte Triumphs

La Porte kept a clean sheet against West Fork on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Fork Gators, sneaking past 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

La Porte's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for West Fork, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

La Porte will be taking part in a tournament against Silsbee at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Fork, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on Sterling at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sterling's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
