Volleyball Game Preview: Valwood Valiants vs. Valdosta Wildcats

The Valwood Valiants will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Valdosta Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Valwood's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Valdosta has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Valwood saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of The King's Academy. The loss put an end to the Valiants' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, Valdosta didn't have quite enough to beat Thomas County Central on Thursday and fell 2-1. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Yellow Jackets 25-15 in the first set.

Valdosta started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-14, 15-11.

Having lost for the first time this season, Valwood fell to 2-1. As for Valdosta, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
