Volleyball Recap: Don Soffer Aventura Takes a Loss

The Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda came up short against the FAU High Owls on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Don Soffer Aventura ultimately came up short, they really made FAU High work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 26-24.

Naiah Corzo paced Don Soffer Aventura's offense, picking up eight kills. Corzo got some help from Fiorella Funes and her 19 assists. Corzo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Don Soffer Aventura dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for FAU High, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Don Soffer Aventura didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Immaculata-La Salle on the 25th. As for FAU High, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Forest Hill on the 26th.
