Soccer Game Preview: Plainfield East vs. Bolingbrook

The Plainfield East Bengals will head out to challenge the Bolingbrook Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolingbrook took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Plainfield East, who comes in off a win.

Plainfield East took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Yorkville. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Plainfield East as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Bolingbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 5-0 to Joliet West. While losing is never fun, Bolingbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Joliet West are ranked 85th).

Plainfield East's win bumped their record up to 8-9-2. As for Bolingbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13-3.

Everything went Plainfield East's way against Bolingbrook when the teams last played back in March of 2017, as Plainfield East made off with a 4-1 victory. Do the Bengals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
