If Chico was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Foothill on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Shasta Wolves on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Chico was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Shasta's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-19.

Chico's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Shasta, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chico will face off against Redding Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shasta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Wolves' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Trojans have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
