Softball Game Preview: Watertown Cyclones vs. Sandy Creek Comets

The Watertown Cyclones will head out to square off against the Sandy Creek Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Watertown has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Sandy Creek will arrive with eight straight victories.

On Friday, Watertown came up short against General Brown and fell 9-4.

Sandy Creek hadn't beaten South Jefferson on the road since May 11, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Comets came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 12-7.

Sandy Creek's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Watertown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
