Volleyball Recap: Lathrop Malemutes vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears
Lathrop was the 2-0 winner over Juneau-Douglas when they last played one another back in October of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Malemutes took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crimson Bears on Friday.
While Lathrop was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21.
Their offense was headlined by Annebelle (Belle) Foster and Avayah Crumm, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Priscilla Wang and her 13 assists. Shania Lowe controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 15-19-10. As for Juneau-Douglas, their victory bumped their record up to 20-16-7.
Lathrop wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Palmer on the 25th. As for Juneau-Douglas, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Grace Christian on the 25th.
