It was a good run, but Wood Memorial unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Gibson Southern Titans, falling 69-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since December 22, 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gibson Southern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Marvel, who went 8-for-14 on his way to 19 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Marvel is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 11 games he's played. Brodey Lamb was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 11 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Wood Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Gibson Southern, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.

Wood Memorial has already played their next matchup (against North Knox), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
