It was a good run, but Trinity Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their 21-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 43-19 to the Lubbock Christian Eagles. Trinity Christian was red-hot offensively headed into the game (they scored no less than 55 points in the four matchups prior) but Lubbock Christian's defense proved too tough.

Trinity Christian's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 22-3. As for Lubbock Christian, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will face off against Temple Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Trinity Christian likes a good challenge. As for Lubbock Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Midland Classical Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lubbock Christian is facing Midland Classical Academy at the right time seeing as Midland Classical Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
