Basketball Game Preview: Larkin Royals vs. West Chicago Wildcats

Larkin is on a three-game streak of home losses, West Chicago a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Larkin Royals will host the West Chicago Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Saturday, Larkin had to suffer through a 71-39 loss at the hands of Barrington.

Meanwhile, West Chicago ended up a good deal behind Addison Trail on Saturday and lost 43-27. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Blazers are ranked 431st).

West Chicago's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Larkin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Larkin came up short against West Chicago when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 49-44. Can Larkin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
