Basketball Recap: Lamar Consolidated Mustangs vs. Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos
Lamar Consolidated lost against Fort Bend Marshall back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs took a blow against the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos, falling 79-25. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 900th, while the Buffalos are ranked 15th).
Despite the defeat, Lamar Consolidated saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Edgar Garcia posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Renniek James, who scored six points.
