Baseball Game Preview: Canyon View Jaguars vs. Mountain View Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Canyon View Jaguars challenge Mountain View Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canyon View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

Canyon View's tournament run continued when they took on Churchill on Tuesday. Canyon View fell just short of Churchill by a score of 3-2.

Cason Hagerman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Canyon View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Meyer, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, Mountain View made easy work of Wooster on Tuesday and carried off a 10-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Canyon View's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
