Soccer Recap: Urbana Comes Up Short

Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Charleston Trojans. Urbana were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Charleston apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Charleston, their record now sits at an identical 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Urbana will challenge Peoria at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Urbana are facing Peoria at the right time seeing as Peoria are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Charleston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Zion at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
