Basketball Recap: Patoka Comes Up Short

Patoka lost against Dieterich back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patoka Warriors fell 50-40 to the Dieterich Movin Maroons. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landen Keck was a one-man wrecking crew for Dieterich as he went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Funneman, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Patoka's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Dieterich, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Patoka will challenge Brownstown/St. Elmo at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Brownstown/St. Elmo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Dieterich, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-38 win against Paris on the 14th.
