Volleyball Game Preview: Contra Costa Christian Cougars vs. Emery Spartans

Contra Costa Christian hadn't beaten Fremont Christian on the road since April 27, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. Contra Costa Christian was the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Fremont Christian.

Contra Costa Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fremont Christian between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Emery had just enough and edged out Pescadero 3-2 last Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Emery now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Contra Costa Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
