Volleyball Recap: Webster Groves Comes Up Short

Webster Groves was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the De Smet Jesuit Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Statesmen of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Among those leading the charge was Rory Luina, who had 18 digs and three assists.

Webster Groves' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for De Smet Jesuit, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

Webster Groves wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Oakville on the 25th. As for De Smet Jesuit, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Parkway South on the 25th.
