Soccer Recap: Westlake Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Victory Christian Academy on Friday, Westlake Christian Academy came back down to earth. Westlake Christian Academy fell 2-0 to Quad Cities Christian on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Westlake Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Quad Cities Christian is ranked 171st).

Westlake Christian Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Quad Cities Christian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

Westlake Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Quad Cities Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Hammond Baptist on the 18th.
