Basketball Recap: Kingman Comes Up Short

Kingman lost against Parker back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Kingman Bulldogs were beaten by the Parker Broncs 81-50. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Broncs are ranked 107th).

When it comes to explaining why Kingman lost, don't look at Taelon Thomason. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points and five boards. Codey Padilla was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 10 points and five rebounds.

Kingman dropped their record down to 4-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Parker, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Kingman will take on Music Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Music Mountain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Parker has already played their next contest (against Bourgade Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
