Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Andrew Jackson). They blew past the Lewisville Lions 52-13 on Friday. The Volunteers pushed the score to 38-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions had no chance of recovering from.

Andrew Jackson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Damias Seegars, who rushed for 33 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Volunteers also got a significant boost from Jvon Kelly, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

Despite the loss, Lewisville still got an impressive performance from Jacorreun Howze, who rushed for 115 yards and three TDs.

The victory got Andrew Jackson back to even at 2-2. As for Lewisville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrew Jackson will challenge Fairfield Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. After each having a week off, Lewisville and C.A. Johnson will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. The game will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season.
